Terms & Conditions
1. Services
6 Best Cleaners provides professional laundry and dry cleaning services, including door-to-door pickup and delivery. By scheduling a pickup, you agree to be bound by these terms.
2. Pickup and Delivery
Access: Customers must ensure our drivers have safe access to the pickup/delivery location.
Unattended Items: If you request "contactless" pickup (leaving items on a porch, etc.), 6 Best Cleaners is not responsible for items lost or stolen before we take possession or after we complete delivery.
Missed Appointments: We reserve the right to charge a "No-Show" fee of $16 if our driver arrives and the laundry is not available.
3. Damaged Items
We follow the care instructions on each garment's label.
Pre-existing Damage: We are not responsible for damage resulting from normal wear and tear, such as thinning fabric, weak seams, or sun-faded colors.
Missing Labels: Items without "Care Labels" are processed at the customer's risk.
Liability Limit: In the rare event of damage caused by our process, our liability is limited to 2x the cost of cleaning that specific item, regardless of brand or condition.
4. Lost Items
Inventory: For Dry Cleaning and Alterations, please provide a list of items with your bag. If no list is provided, our internal count is deemed final.
Claims: Any claims for missing items must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.
5. Pockets and Personal Property
It is the customer's responsibility to empty all pockets. 6 Best Cleaners is not responsible for:
Damage to garments caused by items left in pockets (e.g., pens, lip balm, gum).
Loss or damage to personal property left in pockets (e.g., jewelry, cash, electronics).
6. Stains
While we use professional-grade spotting agents, we cannot guarantee the removal of all stains. Some stains become "set" in the fabric and attempting removal may damage the garment.
7. Payment and Pricing
All prices are subject to change.
Payment is due upon Pickup and Invoicing in the same day. We reserve the right to hold garments until payment is cleared.

Supplemental Terms: Wash and Fold Service
1. Per-Pound Pricing
Minimum Weight: A minimum load weight of 8 lbs applies to all orders. Orders weighing less than the minimum will be billed at the minimum rate.
Final Weight: The weight of the laundry is determined by our professional scales after the cleaning process is complete.
2. Bulk Processing Liability
Machine Processing: Wash and Fold items are processed in commercial washers and dryers. We are not responsible for damage inherent to bulk laundering, including:
Slight shrinkage.
Color bleeding or "bleeding" from non-colorfast fabrics.
Pilling or thinning of aged fabrics.
Non-Inspection: Unlike dry cleaning, we do not inspect every individual garment in a Wash and Fold order for care labels. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure all items in the bag are machine-washable and dryer-safe.
3. Separation of Items
Customer Responsibility: Customers are responsible for separating lights and darks if they have specific preferences. 6 Best Cleaners will generally separate whites from colors, but we are not liable for color transfer if a "bleeder" (like a new red garment) is included in a mixed bag.
Delicates: Please do not include "Hand Wash Only" or "Dry Clean Only" items in your Wash and Fold bag. We are not responsible for damage to these items if they are processed in a standard wash cycle.
4. Contamination & Biohazards
For the safety of our staff, we cannot process laundry contaminated with hazardous materials, including but not limited to:
Excessive pet hair.
Bed bugs or other pests.
Biohazards (bodily fluids, mold, or toxic chemicals).
We reserve the right to refuse service or charge a Surcharge Fee of $10 for heavily soiled loads.

FAQ
1. General Service
How do I schedule my first pickup? You can book directly through our website/app. Just select a time slot that works for you during the working days from 7PM to 10PM, and we’ll send a driver to your door.
Do I need to be home for pickup or delivery? Not necessarily! You can leave your laundry in a secure location (like a porch or with a doorman) and note it in your order instructions. Please note that we are not responsible for items before they are picked up or after they are dropped off.
What is your typical turnaround time? Our standard turnaround is 24 hours during the working days for wash and fold and 3 to 4 business days for Dry Cleaning. For Alterations, we'll advise based on the type of alterations and repairs. If you’re in a rush, we offer "Express Service" for an additional fee of $10.00.
2. Wash & Fold vs. Dry Cleaning
What is the difference between the two? Wash & Fold is for your everyday laundry (t-shirts, jeans, socks) which is cleaned in a machine and folded. Dry Cleaning is for delicate items (suits, silk, wool) that require special chemical solvents and professional pressing.
Do I need to separate my laundry? For Wash & Fold, please put your clothes in a disposable bag or your own hamper for the first pickup. We will separate whites from colors for you, but please ensure there are no "Dry Clean Only" items mixed in.
What if I have a special request (e.g., hang-dry or hypoallergenic detergent)? We love special requests! You can select "Hypoallergenic Detergent" or "Hang-Dry" in your preferences when placing your order. There'll be different surcharges per each special request.
3. Pricing & Payment
How do you calculate the weight of my laundry? We weigh your clothes using professional-grade scales after picking up from your location.
Is there a minimum order size? Yes, our minimum order for pickup is 8 lbs. You can send less, but you will be charged for the minimum weight.
How do I pay? We accept all major credit cards. Your card will be charged automatically once the order is weighed and ready to proceed.
4. Safety & Security
What happens if an item is damaged? We treat every garment with care. However, if an item is damaged due to our process, please report it within 24 hours. Please see our Terms and Conditions for our full liability policy.
What if I left something in my pocket? We do our best to check pockets, but we cannot be held responsible for damage caused by items left inside (like pens or lipstick) or for the loss of valuables. Pro-tip: Double-check those pockets!
Service Area & Territory
Geographic Limitation: 6 Best Cleaners currently provides pickup and delivery services exclusively within the borough of Manhattan, New York.
Boundary Restrictions: Our service area is defined by the physical boundaries of Manhattan. We do not currently service the outer boroughs (Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, Staten Island) or neighboring states unless otherwise specified in writing.
Address Verification: We reserve the right to cancel any order placed with a pickup or delivery address located outside of our service zone. If an order is mistakenly accepted by our system for an address outside Manhattan, we will notify you and issue a full refund.
Tolls and Parking: Prices quoted include standard travel. However, we reserve the right to refuse service to specific buildings or blocks if safe legal parking/unloading is consistently unavailable.
